Worship will begin at 9:00 a.m. during the month of July. Sunday School will follow at 10:00 a.m.
We’ll worship together, singing and praying and listening for God’s Word to us. Elements of both the Awakening and the Liturgical Services will work together in our worship of God. Come early or linger following Sunday School for Coffee Fellowship.
The Congregational Meeting to Elect the new class of
Elders will be held the end of the morning worship service on July 19. Names to
be placed in nomination will be Arline Deacon, Cheryl Paradis, Richard Morris,
Hugh Taylor, Peter Lewin, plus Dani Jackson and Roy Russell (1 year terms).
POTLUCK! On July 19th, we’ll have a potluck lunch directly following Sunday
School (about 11:00 a.m.). The church will provide the meat, we ask that each
family brings a side dish and/or dessert to share. Several new members have
joined the church in the past months, and we want to give everyone an
opportunity to meet the new faces. Also, we’ll be having our election of the new
class of elders during worship that day, this will be a wonderful way for
everyone to meet the new elders, who will begin their service in January.
YOU ARE INVITED!
Come be a part of the Blended Worship Service during July. This service will feature hymns, liturgy, praise songs and media that span various genres and will be a true reflection of the incredible myriad of talents and services of this congregation! By taking the best of both Traditional and Contemporary styles of worship we hope to create a unique service to the glory of God and for the edification of our community of faith here at Fayette Presbyterian Church.
There will be members of the choir and the praise team giving of their time and talents to make this a wonderful month of worship that will also include special music from other groups within and outside of the church. Brass, organ, vocal ensembles and flute are all on the docket for some of the features that this service will have. We hope and pray that this service will aid you in worshiping God in a way that is true to your heart while also experiencing a stretch in our worship styles without abandoning the rock solid foundations of Truth, Love, and Spirit. The services will be held from 9am until 10am every Sunday in July and don't forget to head off to a Sunday School class right after for study from 10-11am.
