Cub Scout Pack 71
Cub Scouting is part of the Boy Scouts of America and is for boys in 1st through 5th grades. Everything the Cub Scouts do is to develop their character, citizenship, knowledge, and confidence. Boys are divided up by grade into dens that meet together, and there is also a monthly pack meeting when the dens get together for awards, announcements, and a program. During the year the Pack does many exciting activities including camping, swimming, making and racing pinewood derby cars, and going on various outings. Many of these activities are open to the whole family. The boys complete requirements to advance in rank through Tigers, Wolves, Bears, Webelos I and Webelos II, at which point they cross over into Boy Scouts. Cub Scout leaders are volunteers – mostly the parents of the boys. They receive background checks and are trained in their various positions. We have a great time together, forming lasting friendships, and we invite you and your elementary-age son to join us!
